He is the Senior VP for Fox News at the time of this writing, but is considering leaving the network to work for Glenn Beck. According to this article, he had already become nothing more than Beck's babysitter at Fox News, and his contract is about to run out.
People in Chicago may remember Cheatwood for something else. Do you remember back in the late 90s when Channel 5 News blew up it's entire organization when it tried to insert Jerry Springer into the newscasts? Ron Magers and Carol Marin both quit, and Channel 5 has never recovered. That braincramp of a decision was made by none other than Joel Cheatwood.
